Dr Ioannides is Fellowship-trained in cataract surgery. During his fellowship at Manchester
Royal Eye Hospital he supervised and mentored junior eye surgeons in performing cataract
surgery.
Dr Ioannides has performed thousands of cataract operations in Cyprus including complex
procedures. He brings a wealth of experience, skill, and dedication to every patient.
At Dr Ioannides Laser Eye Clinic we follow strict preoperative guidelines to ensure optimal
outcomes for each individual. During your consultation, we will conduct a detailed evaluation
of your eyes to include laser interferometry, macular scan and corneal topography. For his
cataract patients, Dr Ioannides offers the latest in intraocular lens (IOL) technology including
premium lenses. He will give you a recommendation for a personalised treatment taking into
consideration your individual eye health, unique needs and lifestyle.
Dr Ioannides performs femtosecond laser assisted cataract surgery (FLACS) as well as
conventional phacoemulsification cataract surgery. He is an attending surgeon at Pantheo Eye
Centre in Limassol as well as at the American Medical Center in Nicosia.
